Cove Data Protection (Cove) schedules and automates its Recovery Testing service to verify the recoverability of critical devices.

How it works:

Cove’s Recovery Testing service Verifies successful recovery:

• • Spins up a test VM in N-able’s cloud environment and restores the backup.
  • Boots the VM and checks the restoration of:
    • System State
    • Files & Folders
    • MS SQL/Oracle Databases
  • Captures a screenshot to confirm successful recovery.
  • Sends the screenshot to the management console.
  • Emails results for both successful restores and failures.
  • Deletes the VM immediately after testing. (The virtual machines that are created as part of Recovery Testing are purged once the restore is completed and the screenshot taken. This means these restored virtual machines are not accessible by the user.)
